Fishers of Men

from 36.00

Fishers of Men is a reminder of my childhood. My Dad is an avid fly fisherman and fly tyer. I learned to fish very early and spent many summers camping; and hours beside my Dad on the bank of a river.

My  husband is also a fishing fanatic, though we both have made Jesus our number one passion. This painting also reminds me of the Lord's command to share the gospel message. The net is a bit smaller than the one Peter was using when called by Jesus to follow, but the call is just as valid!

The men in the photos are relatives who have gone home to the Lord. The man on the right is my great uncle Bill. The left photo shows him leaning on the fender of a car, his buddy is pointing to the licence plate that reads HAWAII 1943. The front photo shows him at home with my grandpa on a camping trip.
